I started preparatory school from first module. When I began to learn English, I knew only some English words. Also, I couldn't remember grammar rules. I worried about difficulties of learning new language but it was not cruel much as I thought. Writing and reading are my favorite groups and I struggle to evolve my skills of writing and reading. I read books and writing samples which are on the Internet to improve myself in these points. When I read different books, I can learn a lot of words and pattern of writing. This way of developing English is very useful and enjoyable for me.
On the other hand, I have difficulty to be successful at parts of speaking and listening. I think it is derived from my personality because I'm not talkative person in normally. I don't like talking more. However, I have to develop myself about speaking and listening to finish preparatory school. Consequently, I apply some methods about that. I think watching films and listening music are very effective to improve speaking and listening skills. These methods provide better pronunciation. In addition, I sometimes speak only English with my some friends. It is very useful method for me.
In conclusion, the process of learning English requires to work regularly and to practice. I think I have made significant progress about writing and reading. However, I can not say the same thing for parts of speaking and listening. I will continue to work and I hope I will be successful:)
Rabia, you are right learning a language is certainly a difficult process. I think that the great thing about it is that it opens up so many doors that were once closed. The world for you will become a much more accessible place. Reading and reading a lot is of course one of the best ways to learn anything. You are lucky that you like these skills and find them amusing. Watching films are very good for listening but speaking practice remains the difficult one. Speaking to some of the international students can be very good, and if you can go to another country and spend a few weeks it would be great sometime in the future for your speaking.
